OneSentence Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 27, 2026
1. On-device processing
Speech recognition and synthesis run on your Mac. The application does not send
your voice, transcripts, or clipboard content to us for processing. There is no
account, license key, or cloud transcription service.
2. Scope
This policy covers the OneSentence macOS application ("the Application") and the
onesentence.app website ("the Website").
3. The Application
- No cloud transcription: voice, transcripts, and clipboard content stay on your device.
- On-device AI: models are stored locally after download.
- Network use: the Application may use the network to download AI models from
Hugging Face (snowy-0wl/onesentence-models) and to check for updates via Sparkle
at https://onesentence.app/appcast.xml. It does not upload your speech or text
for processing.
- Temporary audio: recordings used for transcription are held only as long as
needed for that operation.
- Optional local history: if you enable History, transcriptions are stored in a
local database on your Mac. Nothing is synced to a cloud account.
- No in-app tracking: we do not embed analytics, advertising, or behavioral
tracking SDKs.
4. The Website
The Website is a static documentation site served via GitHub Pages.
- We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- Hosting providers may record standard request metadata (such as IP address and
user agent) in server logs for security and operations.
